TEDDY BEAR WORKSHOPS

If you live in beautiful East Tennessee or will be visiting my area you can be a part of my Teddy Bear Workshops.  I hold classes in my studio monthly.  If your visit doesn't coincide with my scheduled class I can work with you.  I can also hold workshops in your home with three or more people. People have come to my workshops after a stressful day at home or work and leave here feeling very refreshed.  I can't explain that fine feeling you get as you create these lovable little characters.  Once they have their eyes, and you are the first one they see, they gaze up with so much love and trust.  Mommy.  Sound crazy?  Well, just you wait and see.  I have had professional seamstresses and quilters join the ranks of teddy bear art and they are just as crazy as I am now.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

BEGINNERS

If you are just learning to sew or haven't worked with synthetic fur before CUDDLES is an excellent bear to start you out with.  You won't believe how easy he is to create. [2 sessions 3 hours each, or one full day]

ALL SKILL LEVELS

His name is BRIMLY.  He is an easy starting bear for beginners as well as a fun project for skilled sewers and bear makers.  [2 sessions 3 hours each]

INTERMEDIATE

If you are a skilled sewer or have taken my beginner classes, this is your sewing group. These bears have a few extra steps to advance your skills.  You may choose one from these bears, GRETCHEN, CONNIE, JASPER OR OLD TED.  [2 sessions 4 hours each]

ADVANCED

Are you looking for a real fun challenge?  I have some projects that will leave you with an even greater sense of achievement.  These bears will introduce you to a wide range of concepts in Teddy Bear Art.  You will learn how to use armature for a poseable bear, piecing different colors together for contrast or make an open mouth bear.  Choose one from this list,
