Do you have an old fur coat that you never wear but just can't part with it?  Or perhaps it belonged to Mom or Grandma.  Well, you could never get rid of it then. I can turn that coat into a darlin' teddy bear.  I have found no material on earth that makes a more beautiful Teddy bear than mink.

Fur coat - Click me to enlargeI will handle your coat with special care because I understand how precious it is to you (I am an incurable softie when it comes to these things).  I use only the fur from your coat to make your bear.  If the lining is in good shape I use it for the paw pads and sometimes a neck bow. The bear you see pictured below has a fur collar because of the coat size.

Fur coat prep - Click me to enlargeIf you are thinking about having your coat transformed there are some things you will need to check out first.  Bend and ripple the coat in your hands, if it is soft and supple then it's in good shape to work with.  If it feels stiff and, or makes a crackling sound then it's too dry to work with.  If the shoulders are split apart then there is a good chance the rest of the coat is too dry (but not always).

Mink Teddy - Click me to enlargeHERE'S A TIP: To store your fur coat so it will live forever, you need to keep it away from hangers and plastic storage.  The fur still needs to breathe.  Wrap it in a white sheet or acid-free paper, place it in an acid-free box and store it in a cool, dry place.  You will have a happy coat.
